About the Conference
We're beyond excited to announce the inaugural OMSCS Conference! Taking place May 3-4 on the Georgia Tech campus, this annual conference will bring together OMSCS students and alumni to: share their projects and research; network with each other, faculty, and staff; interact with industry representatives; connect with student services; and explore Georgia Tech's beautiful campus. Presentations will be in person, but the conference will also be available to virtual attendees as a live stream.
The OMSCS conference will strengthen the OMSCS community and provide attendees with a rare opportunity to engage with classmates, program personnel, and the Institute. And if you're graduating this spring, the end of the conference will lead directly into the College of Computing Dean's New Alumni Celebration!
The conference program, which contains a tentative agenda, is now available! We will continue to update it as we finalize presentations and other details.
We hope to see you in Atlanta in May!
Keynote: Dr. Zvi GalilThe keynote address on May 3 will be from none other than Dr. Zvi Galil! Dr. Galil has had a remarkable career that has included positions such as: chair of the Computer Science Department at Columbia University; dean of Columbia's Fu Foundation School of Engineering & Applied Science; president of Tel Aviv University; and dean of the College of Computing at Georgia Tech. In addition, he has written over 200 scientific papers, edited 5 books, and given more than 250 lectures in 30 countries. Moreover, he was a moving force behind the establishment of the OMSCS program, and he regularly gives talks around the world about OMSCS—this keynote will be OMSCS Talk #99! We are thrilled to have him as the keynote speaker at the inaugural OMSCS Conference! Read more about Dr. Galil on the Keynote page. |
