What is your academic and/or professional background? If you're currently working, what do you do?
I am currently in the 4th year of my Ph.D. in Computer Science. I also worked as a software engineer at a startup (DataBoss Analytics) for two years and interned as a research scientist at IBM Research during my past few summers. My current research focus is developing efficient algorithms and systems for deep learning models to facilitate democratized and equitable usage of AI.
Why do you TA for OMSCS?
I started TA-ing for CS 6675: Advanced Internet Systems and Applications in my first year at Georgia Tech. Since then, being a TA has helped me to advance my communication skills and has deepened my understanding of the covered topics. The opportunity to interact with students from different backgrounds/industries is also a valuable learning experience for me.
What is your best study hack?
Not necessarily for study but as a generic time management hack, I find the 1-3-5 technique very useful. It helped me to organize my research, coursework and TA duties efficiently.
What do you love most about working with computers?
They are predictable as long you understand them in depth. If there is any bug/error in your code/system, it is always fixable. It is just a matter of time.
What is your favorite hobby?
I enjoy music a lot. Discovering new artists and genres is always exciting. I also play bass guitar in my free time.
