What do you do professionally?

I’m currently an on-campus Master student majoring in both ECE and CSE. Before coming to Georgia Tech, I worked as a software engineer focusing on automation development. I also had the experience of working as a cloud engineer in my past internship. I will continue my career in software development after graduation.

Why do you TA for OMSCS?

I’m a TA for CSE 6250: Big Data for Health Informatics. This course covers state-of-the-art big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark. As a TA for OMSCS, I also have the opportunity to meet many students from different backgrounds who are pursuing careers in healthcare and other fields. This provides me with a chance to learn about their experiences, interests, and possibly some potential needs in their field. I appreciate the opportunity to share my knowledge with others and help them succeed in their academic and professional pursuits.

What is your advice for future OMSCS students?

Although this is an online program, there are incredible resources for students to use! Take our class for an example: we utilize the free Azure credits provided by Georgia Tech to do the lab and the homework. Ask your TA if they have prepared these resources for you! Also, it is an amazing place for students to make connections—make full use of all the resources in this program!

What's your favorite memory from your time in or working with OMSCS so far?

I quite enjoy talking with students during my office hours, apart from helping students with their course-related problems. I have made some connections and learned many interesting stories from the students!
