Alex Duncan

Alex Duncan

Alex Duncan is the Associate Director of Student Experience for the Online Master of Science in Computer Science (OMSCS) program, as well as the co-founder of the OMSCS Conference. His research interests lie at the intersection of online education, learning at scale, and student experience.

Alex holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UT Austin and an M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction from Georgia Tech. Before starting his current position in 2018, he worked at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI); prior to that, he worked in industry, including positions with Home Depot, Boeing, Epic Systems (nope, not the videogame company), and ConocoPhillips.

Hannah Moon

Hannah Moon

Hannah Moon is the Associate Director of External Engagement for OMSCS. Her role is to liaise with organizations outside of Georgia Tech to build relationships and explore collaborative opportunities. Hannah has worked at Georgia Tech for 5 years and is an alumna of GT’s Scheller College of Business. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary and a Master of Education degree from the University of Georgia.

 

Ana Mary Rusch

Ana Mary Rusch has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with second majors in both Geography and Political Science, a master’s degree in Geography, and a Ph.D. in Sociology, all from Florida International University. Her dissertation research focused on Immigration and Integration Studies, Cuban Diaspora Studies, and Identity Studies. Ana has worked with online courses and programs for most of her career in different capacities across content and design with a focus on research. Currently, her research focuses on online and at-scale education, affordable degrees, and educational technology.

Ana teaches several seminars for OMSCS including Women in Tech, Computational Sociology, Cyborg Anthropology, Futurism, and CS in Popular Culture.

Ana has won several awards including the university-wide Diversity Champion Award—which only one faculty member receives every year—as well as the Accessibility Advocacy Award. Additionally, she completed the Leading Women @ Tech program in 2022 as well as the Inclusive Leaders Academy in 2024.

Ana is the Associate Director of Inclusive Excellence and research faculty for the Online Master of Science in Computer Science in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech.
