Alex Duncan

Alex Duncan

Alex Duncan has worked with OMSCS for five years and is currently the program's Associate Director of Student Experience. He oversees course maintenance and TA hiring and addresses student feedback. His research interests lie at the intersection of online education, learning at scale, and student experience.

Alex holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UT Austin and an M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction from Georgia Tech. Prior to OMSCS, he has worked at GTRI, Home Depot, Boeing, Epic Systems (nope, not the videogame company), and ConocoPhillips.

Ana Rusch

Ana Mary Rusch

Ana Mary Rusch has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with second majors in both Geography and Political Science, a master’s degree in Geography, and a Ph.D. in Sociology all from Florida International University. Rusch's research focuses on Immigration and Integration Studies, Cuban Diaspora Studies, Identity Studies, and Gender Studies. Rusch has worked with online courses and programs for most of her career in different capacities across content and design with a focus on instituting DEI, accessibility, and culturally responsive pedagogy.

Currently, Rusch’s research focuses on addressing barriers to equity in tech and designing solutions through an intersectional and sociocultural lens of diversity and inclusion.

Rusch is the Associate Director of Inclusive Excellence in the Online Master of Science in Computer Science program in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech.
