What do you do professionally?

I am a Software Developer, who worked for a fintech company and now I am pursuing my Master's to up my skill as a developer. I am specializing in Computing Systems and would love to pursue a career in building distributed systems.

Why do you TA for OMSCS?

Most of the OMSCS students are working full time alongside their courses and since I was a working professional for a couple of years, I feel I can better resonate with the needs and issues a typical OMSCS student would face. This enables me to help in designing the course logistics in a beneficial manner for an OMSCS student.

What is your advice for future OMSCS students?

Communication is key. Due to the remote nature of OMSCS, most of the interactions happen on the discussion forums. So, proactively participating in these discussions helps in assimilating the course content effectively and helps in figuring out the caveats one might have missed to notice on their own.

What's your preferred programming language, and why?

My preferred programming language changes based on the use case; for instance, I like to code in Python for data science projects and in Java for developing web APIs.
