What do you do professionally?
I am a lead software engineer on the front end for CREXi, a commercial real estate exchange company. My focus lately has been building out the front end website for brokers and investors to buy, sell, and lease properties. I am a huge fan of Angular and the direction the developers are taking the framework, which is what we use on our platform.
Why do you TA for OMSCS?
I've always enjoyed helping/teaching others and previously was a youth volleyball coach. Since I started in the OMSCS program as a student, I've wanted to become a TA to help others and be a bigger part of the program. I think it is great that we're able to expand our knowledge online and connect with so many of our peers.
What is your advice for future OMSCS students?
The biggest advice I can give is to lean into your TAs and instructors and engage with the rest of the class. Ask questions, partake in answering other questions when you have input or the answer, and when you're stuck, ask for help.
What hobby or activity are you looking forward to getting back to once you're done with OMSCS?
